Distinct Registration Marks

A distinct number is simply 'a quality cover number'. It hides the year of the car and is either very short, as in;

or it is shortish plus it looks good as in;

or not short at all but is attractive as in;

Distinct numbers are often assigned to distinct cars; if you observe such cars you'll seldom find they have ordinary numbers. The registration is part of the appearance of the car and an untidy long number such as;

will, to a degree, spoil the look of a nice car.
